New Students Selected for 2021

Schools in Kenya continue with an amended academic calendar year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, we had a large number of girls who applied for sponsorship to high school and a total of 9 students were selected. Janet (below) was one of them. Her mother is unemployed and her father does low-wage work making it impossible for him to pay her fees. She did not give up hope of one day continuing with her education and because of your support she is now in high school.

Janet pictured above in her primary school uniform, waiting to be interviewed. She passed the DAF interview and just started high school. She is very excited to start school.

Here's a look back at some of our former students who have graduated from high school. They have since gone on to college, or to start their careers. This photo was taken during our annual conference where they are dressed in their different colored uniforms representing 16 high schools. Your donations have made it possible for all these smart but disadvantaged students to graduate.

DAF Alumni Spotlight

Our DAF alumni highlight is Nelson. We want to celebrate his recent graduation from college with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. Congratulations Nelson!
